Chairman's Circle
The Chairman’s Circle, a blue-ribbon support group for the World Affairs Councils of America, was created to raise the profile of our organization and to bring in important funds to promote our mission of “Engaging Grassroots America in World Affairs.” There is no more pressing issue facing us in this century than reaching out to our communities and advancing our mandate: “It’s Your World, Know It!”
Your membership fee of $1,000 allows you individual access to exclusive CC events for one calendar year. Membership is renewable and WACA membership is not necessary for membership in the Chairman’s Circle.
You can join when you register for the 2008 National Conference or by filling out this form.
Membership Benefits:
• An invitation to participate in a private reception and dinner at the World Affairs Councils of America’s National Conference, where CC members will receive special badge recognition. This year’s dinner will be hosted by Amb. James R. Jones, Chairman of the World Affairs Councils of America, and will honor former Congressman Lee Hamilton and former Secretary of State James Baker, the Co-Chairs of the Iraq Study Group.
• Members’ names will be listed on the National Council’s website.
• Special access to a hospitality suite at the National Conference where members can relax between sessions and have an opportunity to exchange ideas with board members and other CC members.
• Monthly newsletters from the World Affairs Councils of America’s National Office.
• Meetings with senators and congressmen, ambassadors and foreign dignitaries, senior military officials, NGO and business leaders, and figures from the media, as well as visits to the State Department, the Pentagon, the United Nations, embassies, and with the US military.
